   great display in their parking lot. Bring the lights and

   wear the shirts. Bring chairs.at 5853 Siegen Ln.   

 

Friday, September 26th

 

  David's Geared Up band plays at George's on

  George O'Neal in Baton Rouge.   7:30 PM until

  10:30 PM.   On covered patio, good food.

   Covington Monthly Open Cruise Night

   Columbia Street, downtown Covington, LA

   From 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM    

  Meet up each last Friday of the month March through 

   October. Door prizes, 50/50 and music. No fee.

 

   Saturday, September 27th

 

   Best of the Bayou Open Car Show

   Main St, Houma, LA  from 8 am until 3 pm

   The downtown Houma area will be shut off for this  

   great show put on by Cajun Corvette Club. $30 entry

   before Sept. 15th, $40 entry after that date. Top 50

   plaques, Music, Door prizes, 50/50 drawing at 3:00

   PM. Enter the show at Church and Park Street. Meet

   up at Cabela's parking lot in Gonzales at 6:45 AM

   and leave at 7:00 AM.

 

  ALSO..... 

 

   Balloon Festival Car Show

   Lamar Dixon Civic Center in Gonales, LA

   Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 S St Landry Ave,

   Gonzales, LA from 11 am until 3 pm

  Rain or shine. Great facility to host a car show, many

   vendors, food, bands. Car show registration is $25.

   So much to see. Much of it is covered. Bring your

   chair.

 

  Thursday, October 2nd

 

  Board Meeting at Drusilla Seafood at corner of

  Drusilla and Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge.

  Dinner at 6pm, members welcome and the

  meeting will begin at 7:00 PM.   Any items members

  wish to be discussed can be added by emailing

  president@brcorvetteclub.com  and you are

  welcome to come to the meeting for discussion.

 

  Saturday, October 3rd through 5th....

 

  Need to check calendar for long weekend trips and

   out of town shows if you are interested.  CCCC

  club has events this weekend you may wish to do.

  Natchez, MS trip and Angola Rodeo on Sunday.

  Twin Peaks Monthly Car Show

  $5 entry fee.  At Twin Peaks,  11am until 3pm.

   This is scheduled as a monthly car show now.

   Located just north of I-10 on Siegen Lane. Each first

   Saturday of the month. They have plaques for

   people's choice awards, door prizes, 50/50. Patio to

   eat and sit, may wish to bring chairs.

 

  ALSO....... 

 

  Osyka Fall Festival.... I have no details on this yet.

  Waiting for a phone call with information, will pass

  on when I have it.

 

  Sunday, October 5th through the 12th

 

  Cruisin' The Coast along the Biloxi, MS coast will

  be going on.  Our club usually has the option to

  caravan together on Sat., Oct. 11th for the day.

 

  Thursday, October 9th

 

   Club Member's Meeting (and those interested)

  East Side Fire Station at 15094 Old Hammond

  Hwy. in Baton Rouge.  6:30 PM for social time,

  meeting begins promptly at 7:00 PM.  Dinner

  after, place to be decided at meeting. 

 

  Saturday, October 11th

 

  Washington Corvette Display.... in the town of

  Washington, LA.  Details to come.

 

  ALSO.......

 

  Cruisin' the Coast for the day....... Meet up at Winn

   Dixie in Walker at 8:45 AM, leave the parking lot at

   9:00 AM. Lunch at Aunt Jennie's restaurant in Ocean

   Springs, MS at 11:00 AM. Cruise down the coast to

   Biloxi's Edgewater Mall until dark, then head home.

   Bring chairs, radio.

 

  ALSO....... 

 

  Open Laps for our Corvettes at No Problem

  Raceway.  6470 Hwy 996, Belle Rose, LA 

   At the track for 11:45 AM. Meeting up in Gonzales

   from Cabela's parking lot at 10:15 AM, leaving at

   10:30 AM. There will be a pace car to show us the

   proper lining on the track and keep speed where it

   should be for that track. Passing only on the straight

   away, safety will be a factor. This time is set aside

   for our club. No helmets necessary. Convertibles and

   coupes. $10 for 5 laps. Faster drivers in front. Lunch

   after at The Grapevine in Donaldsonville, LA. (211

   Railroad Ave) Alternate will be Mike Anderson's in

   Gonzales.

Steve Jones put together a fun last minute cruise for our club members
to Satterfield's in New Roads, LA.  Great food while overlooking
the water.  Took the scenic route home together also.

          The 2014 National Corvette Caravan was a hit!  7000   Corvettes from all over the country, 10,000 people.  Our Gulf States Region drove the Talladega Superspeedway before arriving at the Corvette Museum in Kentucky.  8 Corvettes, 15 of our members went together and enjoyed the festivities.  It was VERY organized.  We also drove the new Motorsports track at the Museum.  We were there for the grand opening.
