  Friday, July 3

 

  Kenilworth Independence Day Parade 

   Kenilworth neighborhood in Baton Rouge

   Meet up in Albertson's parking lot on the corner of

   Perkins Rd. and Essen Lane at 4:45 PM, line up is at

   5:30 PM, parade starts at 6:00 PM. This is a parade

   without any riders on the cars so coupes and

   convertibles are welcome. Decorate you car if you

   like with red, white, blue theme. You are encouraged

   to bring throws of candy, trinkets, beads, stuffed

   animals to throw. Wear your patriotic colors. Festive

   event in a good neighborhood. Bring your radio. We

   usually go eat somewhere together after the parade.

 

 

  Saturday,  JULY  4th  HOLIDAY! 

  St. Hubert Church Independence Day Festival

  2:00 PM until 5:00 PM  on the church grounds at

  176 Anthony Monica St. in Garyville, LA.

  $25 entry fee, Top 20 Awards and Best in Show.

  Food, sweets, drinks, fireworks at 9:00 PM.

 

 

  Sunday, July 5

 

   Morton's Seafood in Madisonville, LA

   Back roads, Hwy. 16 & 22 to Morton's Seafood

   Restaurant, Madisonville, LA     We will meet up at

   Bass Pro parking lot at I-12 and Denham Springs, LA

   exit at 11:45 AM, leaving promptly at 12 noon so eat a

   good breakfast! We will travel Hwy. 16 to Hwy. 22 and

   stop in Springfield for a restroom break halfway. Then

   continue on Hwy. 22 until we get to Morton's on the

   river for 2:00 PM in Madisonville, LA. BACK ROADS!

   Good seafood.

  Thursday, July 9

  Member's Monthly Meeting

  Baton Rouge Corvette Club general membership   

   meetings start promptly at 7 p.m. and are open to

   anyone owning a Corvette. We arrive around 6:30

   PM.   for social time first. Conference room in the

   back of East Side Fire Station, 15094 Old Hammond

   Hwy. in Baton Rouge, LA. We usually eat dinner after

   the meeting all together.

   

 

  Dates to RESERVE :::

  Friday, July 10 > Saturday, July 11

  Caravan up to Jackson, MS for an indoor all

  Corvette show.  We stay overnight and head home

  after the show on Saturday.  Details on the calendar.

 

   Sunday, July 19th

  St. Jude Check Presentation Corvette display at:

   Hooters, 254 Range 12 Boulevard, Denham Springs,

   LA  from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  We will have lunch

  after a photo is taken with club members honoring

  our local St. Jude representative with a large copy of

  the check we have already given to St. Jude.  Wear

  red club shirts for this event for photos.  Details on

  our club calendar.

 

   Sunday, August 23rd

  The club's annual Steak/Seafood Club get together

   at Charlie's Seafood and Steakhouse in Springfield.

  Check out the details on our club calendar.  Many will

  meet up at Bass Pro in Denham Springs, then enjoy

  a nice back roads tour down Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 22

  prior to our dinner together.  Details on our calendar. 

 

   Friday, September 11th through Sunday September

   13th...    Many of us and other club members will

  spend these dates at the Pensacola "Back to the

   Beach" Corvette   show at the Hilton on the Beach.

  Thursday, October 1st through Tuesday, October 6th..

  Many of our members are headed to Gatlinburg, TN

  for a wonderful trip.  Vettes Fest Corvette show and

  Tail of the Dragon among many other fun items on

  the agenda.  Check it out on our club calendar. 

   Felix Famularo is helping organize this great trip.

Corvette display and raffle sale. Lunch there and Chili's will match what we sell. Always a fun time for a good cause. Begins at 11am but no end time, up to you. Wear club shirts. Bring chairs for outdoors. Have plenty of layers to cope with the weather if needed. Always good to have it and not need it than not have it and need it. We will probably eat somewhere close by after.
